Description
The National English Honor Society (NEHS) celebrates the contribution of high school students worldwide, cultivating their passion for the English language arts.
NEHS is the world’s largest discipline-specific honor society for high school students who are captivated by English language and literature, creative writing, theatre, film and media studies, and journalism. This unique society offers an unparalleled chance for students, educators, and schools to engage in an enriching, discipline-specific international community.
Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant community where high school students and educators can immerse themselves in promoting literacy and serving society, while honoring exceptional and diverse achievements in the English language arts and related subjects.
Students in NEHS coordinate study halls, monitor an online resource database with essay revision services, and organize the Poetry Out Loud competition.
