Alpha Achievers

Description

Alpha Achievers is an African-American men's mentorship and academic program for high school students (grades 9-12) in Howard County, Maryland, founded by the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. It fosters a positive environment for academic excellence (requiring a 3.0 GPA) and character growth, encouraging leadership, community service, and a sense of brotherhood among participants. The program aims to empower young men of color by showing that scholarship and intelligence are acceptable and achievable for them. 

The program promotes the development of leadership skills, critical thinking, and character through monthly meetings, seminars, and workshops.
