African Student Association

Description

ASA is an African-based student group created about five years ago. The purpose of this club is to share African culture with the Howard High community. We have a special bond as African students, so we also use this club to create a safe space to talk and express how we go through similar issues and struggles, to share our different backgrounds, and more!  We invite students to learn about the continent and its diverse cultures and countries.

Students will celebrate African culture, coordinate dances for school-based activities, plan school-wide activities/events centering on African culture, and meet monthly to learn about the continent of Africa.
