All week the World Language department will be selling hand-woven Central American bracelets and purses on behalf of the Pulsera Project, a non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and connects Central American artists with students in schools in the US. Bracelets are $6 and purses are $11 and all proceeds will support educational programs, scholarships, workers' rights, community development, housing, and a wide range of other projects that empower artists in Nicaragua and Guatemela, their families, and their communities.
