How many times have you dozed off in one of your classes considering "Is this all there is?"
How often do you ponder what comes after this?
How overwhelmed do you become when you think about leaving this all behind?
Of course by "this" I mean "high school." And your fears and concerns are beyond legitimate. You will spend FOUR YEARS of your life inside 8700 Old Annapolis Road....and then what??!?!
Well, the SGA is prepared to bring you some answers and hopefully relieve some anxiety pertaining to your perception of the future. On January 17, 2018, the SGA will host a panel featuring Howard alumni from multiple graduated classes. The members of the panel will speak to their experiences post-Howard - their successes and failures, their "I wish I had known"s and "I wish I would have done"s, their wisdom and warnings.
The panel is part of the SGA's Student Voice Summit series, and it will be held in the auditorium during Lion's Time (9:00 - 9:30 a.m.) on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
So whether you are a freshman or a Senior, a "worry-wart" or a "wait-and-see", bring your concerns and/or questions to present to the panel of former Lions next week. If nothing else, you will have the opportunity to see what a Lion looks like out of its natural habitat.
Please ask your second period teacher to sign your agenda book on the day of the event. We hope to see you there!
