Howard High School students enrolled in the Intern/Mentor course for the school year 2015-2016 are exceptional students who are passionate about a particular field of interest. Intern/Mentor is a college-level course, which involves a scholarly research study and provides students the opportunity to intern for professionals in their fields of interest for five hours per week during the school year. The goal of the internship is for the student to learn about the field and receive guidance regarding his/her research. It’s a positive and valuable experience for both the mentor and student.
If you are in the position to be mentor or know someone who may be interested in any of the fields of interest listed below, please send an e-mail with your name and the potential mentor’s contact information to Ms. Mary Curtin, G/T Resource Teacher at Howard High to the following e-mail address: email@example.com. Your help will be greatly appreciated, especially by the students, who are excited and grateful for the opportunity.
